Before CPS 2.0, the software was known as (or GMVN5141 ), which is now often called the "Legacy" version. The key difference is compatibility. CPS 2.0 is for radios purchased from September 2019 onwards, or those that have already been updated with the latest firmware. If you have a DP1400 that was purchased before 2020 and you've never updated its internal firmware, you will need the Legacy v16 software to program it.
