If your cash drawer plugs directly into the printer via an RJ11/RJ12 cable, navigate to the Device Settings tab. Locate the Peripheral Unit Type or Cash Drawer option. Set it to Open Before Printing or Open After Printing depending on your checkout workflow.

Check for driver updates periodically, especially after a major Windows update, to ensure maximum compatibility.
