If a user attempted to install an original, unmodified Windows XP disc onto a computer built after 2010 with a SATA hard drive, the installer would crash. It would throw a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Error 0x0000007B (INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE) because it literally could not see the hard drive.
